My role
Led the creative and communications development of the e-learning resource, shaping how complex mental health topics were translated into clear, supportive internal messaging.
Developed visual content, structured training materials, and edited interview footage featuring lived experience and frontline staff. Filmed NHS 111 callers and staff from North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust and Derbyshire Health United, ensuring authentic voices informed and strengthened the overall communication approach.
Overview
Developed for NHS England, the resource aimed to strengthen internal communication skills and confidence when handling mental health-related calls.
Content combined lived-experience insight with frontline expertise, structured to support clear, empathetic communication in practice.
Approach
The focus was on making sensitive communication guidance accessible and practical. Visual storytelling, clear content structure, and real-life perspectives helped translate complex scenarios into meaningful learning.

Impact
Recognised at the Association of Healthcare Communications and Marketing Awards, the project demonstrates how effective internal communications design can improve confidence, empathy, and consistency in service delivery.
